Start and Finish: Francis Field 19,000. Rest of the course was on dusty country roads with race officials riding in vehicles
ahead of and behind the runners, crating dusty clouds. The startd included five laps inside the stadium.
The Couse was 24.85 miles (39.99km). Temperature over 30 degrees Celsius.

Silver medalist Albert Corey wa a French immigrant to the United States. IOC lists him as a German competitor in Marathon and French competitor in the Relay.
Frederick Lorz took a car ride in the hopes he could meet up with the competition bear the finish line. He finshed firstand had a photo taken with Alice Roosvelt, the daughter of President Roosevelt. Organizers banned for life Lorz from the competition.
