Football World Cup 2010 South Africa Draw Procedure
Draw procedure on 4th of December, 2009 in Cape Town at 19:00.
The teams were distributed in 4 pools. Pool A seeded teams.
- Pool B Asia, Concacaf and Oceania. Pool C Afica and South America-not seeded.
- Pool D Europe-not seeded.
The teams from Pool B were not put in the respective Groups in the Order of the Draw.
South American teams had to avoid Brazil and Argentina and Africa teams - South Africa.
in col - tr. is appointed the Group that Should be if the draw was in streight order.
Example: Nigeria was drawn First from its Pool, but was transferred to Group B, because an African Team - South Africa is in Group A.
the order of Play in each Group is: 1-2,3-4 ; 1-3,2-4 ; 1-4,2-3
